The HAZMATCAD™ is a multifunctional, handheld instrument that detects and classifies both chemical warfare (CW) agents and toxic industrial chemicals (TICs). HAZMATCAD uses surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensor arrays and electrochemical cells to identify nerve and blister agents, as well as agents that attack the blood or cause choking. Designed to yield a very low susceptibility to false alarms in real-world environments.
